GM Hybrid cars – Car parts that make a difference

Finally GM has drawn guns against its rival Toyota. GM with all its capabilities uptill now has been lagging behind Toyota in producing cars, car parts that are fuel efficient and are equally durable and reliable. But now after years of beating the American Automaker has finally launched a hybrid car that is not only equipped fuel efficient car parts but also is low on price.
Toyota Prius, uptill now has been breaking records and in the year 2006, 107,000 vehicles were sold. Now GM with its Saturn Aura is all set to give Toyota Prius a tough time. Fuel efficiency of Saturn Aura allows 28 miles per gallon in city areas and on highways the fuel efficiency increases to 35 miles per gallon.
The GM’s Saturn Aura is equipped with a 4 speed automatic transmission systems, 2.4L Ecotec engine assisted by electric motor and the EBC brake rotors to boost the car’s overall efficiency.
To top it all the car buyers will get a tax break of US$1,300/-, an incentive launched by the federal government to promote fuel efficient and environmental friendly hybrid cars. Toyota Prius buyers on the other hand will get an incentive of US$787, federal tax credit. This decrease in the tax advantage to the buyers decrease as more models of the car are sold and Toyota Prius is the one which has broken all records of high sale.
Parts and accessories of all hybrid cars are also very easily available through online car parts stores. GM new hybrid Saturn Aura’s OEM parts will also be available at discounted prices.
