Toyota has an absolute domination on auto industry and auto market as well. The company is making a largest amount of vehicles after the GM. Lexus is known as a best luxury brand in the whole lineup. It has great demand in America for its top performance and reliability.
Toyota released its first Lexus car, The LS 400 in the year 1987. Total expenditure for this project regarding all developments and manufacturing ran over 1 billion dollars. This car holds a special rank among other luxury models. It is a true legendary for its durability, reliability and affordability.
The LS 400 achieved a good recognition in a very short time. Its special feature along with reliable, durable parts and accessories, luxurious and comfortable interior and technical excellence took the car to the fame it deserved.
Lexus bagged in many awards the same year. These included:
- Car and Driver 10 best
- JD Power No.1 Carline in Initial quality
- Motoring Press Association Best Imported Car
To overcome the criticism on the design which has been mentioned as UNDERSTATED designs by the critics the Company has planned to launch L-Finnesse concept. According to this the company will follow 3 principals such as Incisive Simplicity, Intriguing Elegance and Seamless Anticipation in its new breed of concept cars.
