Fierce competition between auto manufacturers

Since the debut of Scion of Toyota, it has been no turning back. The car has been liked by the young and is known to be edgy. Generally Scion appeals to the youth.

Dodge plans to make its subcompact car Dodge Hornet and Ford is following the footsteps by making Ford Bronco. Dodge teams up with Volkswagen to meets its aim. The car will be manufactured at the VW plant in Mexico, thus giving a cost advantage that cannot be found in any US car manufacturing plant.

While cars like Saturn ION, Chevy Cobalt and Dodge Caliper also aim to attract the youth market segment.
