It seems like it’s a season of mergers and acquisitions. GM is eyeing Chrysler and Renault is eyeing Saab. Auto manufacturers seem to be in hot waters. To make the ends meet and to challenge the Japanese car parts and car manufacturers such alliances are being formed.
In spite of the pressures faced by the auto market. Car manufacturers like Toyota, Honda and Nissan are introducing luxury line of cars. Renault can re-enter the US market with its own luxury cars and car parts. Hyundai also has some similar plans in the pipeline.
Would mergers like these end the rising market pressures? It seems just simply impossible for auto manufacturers to take on any ailing enterprise and take on more financial burdens along with managing the line of products of the other company as well.
Taking of giants like GM and Chrysler who have similar product line and than looking at Saab, Jaguar and Renault it all seems difficult as all the auto makers their own auto manufacturing plans in pipeline. Instant decision on sales or mergers will greatly affect the marketing value of the company and its products.
